WDB Training Academy
The WDB Training Academy aims to train a new cadre of community workers who would become champions of women’s empowerment and poverty reduction. Internal staff training is geared towards assisting them to acquire accredited qualifications and thereby improve their skills base and further develop their careers.
Another role of the Academy is to train more Development Facilitators and Development Assistants in WDB Trust operational areas. This will lead to higher impact in communities in which WDB Trust operates.
The Academy has developed training manuals for the Siyakhula MFI and is currently developing material for Zenzele. The Academy will revise training materials for the Compute Based Functional Literacy (CBFL) Programme. It will also develop materials for the literacy for pre-school children and for adult education.
