Our Pledge

WDB Staff Pledge

We are entrusted to serve women  living in poverty in rural South Africa, through the WDB trust programmes, irrespective of race, religion and political affiliation. In our mission of serving those affected by poverty, we may not receive any gifts not even a glass of water from the members or potential members to ensure good governance. God bears witness to our pledge and our actions.

WDB Member’s Pledge

‘It is our responsibility to our creator to improve the living conditions of our families and communities, to follow WDB operating principles to the best of our abilities; to fulfil our promise to repay our loan in full and on time; to practice good governance in accounting and promote a savings culture; to use surplus from the loan activities to improve our families well-being. God bears witness to our pledge and our actions.

WDB Director/ Trustees’ Pledge

We are entrusted with the stewardship of WDB – over the public funds it receives; the people working within; the targeted beneficiaries including borrowers and other women who are within our networks.

 

We will do this by:

  • Encouraging good governance in resource allocation
  • Demonstrating a commitment to the development of all South African women,
  • God bears witness to our pledge and all our actions
