The WDB Training Academy Trust Chief Trainer Position
The primary purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate, administer, supervise and to have an oversight on all the TAT programmes. Assesses training and development needs for the organisation to enhance client participation. Help individual employees and teams develop appropriate skills and knowledge. Produce Training manuals for the authorisation by the TAT Management. Liaise with the Training Coordinators of specific TAT programmes. Coordinate, plan and present training sessions face-to-face and /or virtually where required. Monitor and evaluate the TAT Training for maximum impact and relevance to clients and communities.

·       Implement all the training as approved by the Operations Manager for all the TAT Programmes

·       Plan the operation and function of the field training to accomplish goals and outcomes of each specific programme

·       Organise the production of work as well as the workforce, training and allocation of resources necessary to accomplish the goals and objectives of the TAT training per programme

·       Provide guidance, direction, leadership and support necessary to ensure productivity and impact

·       Follow up to ensure the plans versus actual targets are achieved

·       Review and assess progress/success on a weekly and monthly basis using reliable, fair and measurable tools

·       On time reporting to input on the Trustees reports highlighting data that gives an overall dashboard results of all the TAT training programmes

·       Determine the training needs

·       Manages costs for all the programmes to report return on investments to the organization executives

·       Maintains understanding of the new training techniques

·       Attend meetings, seminars and conferences pertaining to industry as instructed by the TAT Management

·       Submit monthly SDL/SWP reports to Social Development

·       Be familiar with the relevant SETA and the Accreditation processes

·       To   comply with the POPI Act by correctly storing and managing employee and client data

·       Manage Performance of all the Coordinators based on their performance contracts as per the set policies and procedures

·       Support the expansion plans in the area of operation

·       Induction and training of new TAT Employees

·       Stakeholder engagement




Regular and scheduled travel to operational field sites

This is a permanent position with a 3 months’ probation period

The job entails working extra ordinary time and hours as and when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS Degree in education or equivalent experience in the training and development area. Project management. Project Management an advantage. Assessor, moderator  and facilitation qualifications NQF level 5
EXPERIENCE At least 5 years’ experience in the training and supervisory roles. NGO working experience is an advantage.
